Home to Hume

One week of the year my youth group goes to camp. We wait for it all year. Mountainous Monterey, MA is the location of Hume New England. God was so present in the beautiful landscape speaking through not only Brian Holland, our speaker, but every activity was related to living for Him.

We brought about 50 high schoolers and there was around 120 students total in the whole camp /// Matthew 18:20 /// For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them

Keep Exploring ///  Galatians 6:4  /// Make careful exploration of who you are and the work that you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don't be impressed with yourself. Don't compare yourself to others.

Take Me to the Mountains /// Psalms 36:6 /// Your righteousness is like the highest mountain, your justice like the great deep

FYI - Most of these pictures were taken with #KatieCam. I got an action camp that I brought in, out & around with me! It was much more practical, considering the waterproof plastic housing. It still captured some pretty good shots of my week! We were on the selfeys team, so naturally I took a few lot!

Shining with Sarah

Sarah and I had a summer adventure! It started at her house, and then it stopped raining so we ventured to my Nana's & took pictures pondering around. We tried to find the public beach, but we didn't go on it because it said "members only." As the sun set, we did some painting with our iPhone flashlights, and felt a little more rebelious to trespass into the second park we went to (just kidding! Sarah only did it for the picture!) It was a super-fun night, and we didn't break any laws.

Memorial Day Weekend

My family and I spend Memorial Day every year at my Nana's house. She has a pool and lake at her beautiful home. It is a picturesque place for an Eckler BBQ. My aunts, uncles and cousins all get together and spend the day eating and hanging out. The day is filled with laughter, bonding and of course a lot of BBQ (and dessert!)
